Hollywood Liberal Flees America
Liberal comedian Rosie O’Donnell has made good on her promise to leave America, relocating to Ireland following President Trump’s election victory. The outspoken Trump critic announced her departure in a nine-minute TikTok video, explaining that moving abroad was “the best for myself and my 12-year-old child.”
O’Donnell’s decision comes after years of publicly feuding with President Trump, a rivalry that reached new heights during the 2016 presidential campaign. The heated exchanges between the two have made headlines for years, with neither holding back their disdain for the other.
While O’Donnell didn’t mention Trump by name in her video, she described the current state of American politics as “heartbreaking.” She claimed she would only consider returning to the United States when she feels it is “safe for all citizens to have equal rights.”
Media Criticism and Political Warnings
In her video message, O’Donnell took aim at American media outlets, accusing them of undermining democracy. “The mainstream media has been letting us all down in America, where the fourth estate is required to maintain a democracy,” O’Donnell stated.
“Protect your sanity as much as you can, and try not to swim in the chaos, if possible,” O’Donnell advised her followers. She also expressed concerns about TikTok potentially disappearing under the new administration, a platform she has used to spread her political views. Trump has previously expressed concerns about TikTok, but recently prevented a total shutdown of the platform as negotiations on a sale to an American buyer got underway.
Comedian O’Donnell meanwhile encouraged her followers to protest and demand adherence to the Constitution rather than following a single leader.

Life in Ireland
Despite her political grievances, O’Donnell expressed gratitude for her new home country’s hospitality. “It’s been pretty wonderful, I have to say. The people are so loving and so kind, so welcoming. And I’m very grateful,” she said about Ireland, where she is now applying for citizenship.
The comedian admitted that while she is happy with her decision, she misses certain aspects of American life. “I miss my other kids. I miss my friends. I miss many things about life there at home,” but added that she’s “trying to find a home here in this beautiful country.”
O’Donnell joins a long list of celebrities who threatened to leave America if Trump won, though most others never followed through on their promises..
