Researcher Claims He Can Pinpoint MH370’s Final Resting Place

The Boeing 777 carrying 239 people on board designated MH 370 went down ten years ago and has been missing since, sparking numerous investigations and documentaries. Now, another researcher claims he has found the missing jetliner in “the perfect hiding place.”

The University of Tasmania’s Vincent Lyne, an adjunct researcher, says he has evidence that the Malaysian plane was flown with intent into a “hole” more than 20,000 feet deep in the Indian Ocean in a region called Broken Ridge. Lynne described it as a “very rugged” underground landscape with lots of sheer cliff faces, huge ridges, and “deep holes.” The spot he is concentrating on is “filled with fine sediments,” which is why he calls it the perfect hiding spot.

Along with most other investigators, Lyne believes the pilot crashed the plane deliberately.

There are many theories about what happened to the plane, which went off course during its flight in a way that appeared to those on the ground to be deliberate. The plane was so far off course that it would have run out of fuel over the ocean even if it had not been deliberately crashed.

Some believe the plane’s captain, 53-year-old Zaharia Ahmad Shah, committed a massive murder-suicide because of persona troubles. Though unconfirmed, some sources report the pilot had just left his wife, and that he was angry that one of his relatives had been put in jail for a sodomy charge in the days before Shah’s final flight.

That relative, Anwar Ibrahim, is now Malaysia’s prime minister.

Shah’s wife, however, denies the rumors of marital discord.

Researcher Lyne said damage patterns to the plane’s wings and flaps was similar to that found on the plane famously ditched in the Hudson River by captain Chesley Sullenberger in 2009. The ditching was famously called “the miracle on the Hudson” as everyone survived.

Lyne argues that all the evidence points to a “controlled ditching” of MH 370, and he bases this on some work done on the few pieces of debris that have been recovered.

Whether Lyne’s theory proves to be correct, there have been other instances of pilots deliberately crashing their planes and taking innocent souls to the grave with them. Co-pilot Andreas Lubitz crashed Germanwings flight 9525 into the French Alps in 2015.
