Suspicious Transactions and Treasury Investigation
While Democrats scream about “threats to democracy” from every corner, they’re suspiciously quiet about the hundreds of potentially fraudulent transactions flowing through their golden goose fundraising platform, ActBlue. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer recently briefed Republican members on what appears to be a massive scandal lurking beneath the surface of Democrat financing.
The Treasury Department is now wading through hundreds of suspicious transaction reports flagged by banks—one of its largest reviews this Congress—looking for evidence of money laundering, identity theft, and foreign interference.
“Although Treasury has not yet produced any records, it is currently reviewing hundreds of potentially responsive records,” Comer (R-Ky.) revealed in the Oct. 25 memo.
“Treasury revealed this is one of the largest records reviews it has conducted this Congress,” he added.
Let that sink in. While Democrats accuse conservatives of every election integrity crime under the sun, their own fundraising machine is generating so many suspicious activity reports that the Treasury Department is drowning in paperwork. The familiar stench of projection is impossible to ignore.
Fraud Prevention? What Fraud Prevention?
You’ll be shocked—SHOCKED, I tell you—to learn that ActBlue previously didn’t even require the basic Card Verification Value (CVV) for credit card transactions. That three-digit security code on the back of your credit card? The one that literally every legitimate online business requires to prevent fraud? Apparently optional when you’re funneling money to Democrats. This glaring security hole potentially opened the floodgates to fraudulent donations and foreign contributions, which are, you know, completely illegal under federal election law.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton initiated an investigation into ActBlue last December, focusing specifically on this CVV loophole. Imagine running a multi-billion dollar political fundraising operation without the most basic fraud protection that even your local pizza shop requires. Either ActBlue executives are the most incompetent financial handlers in America, or—more likely—they knew exactly what they were doing.
Foreign Interference When It Benefits Democrats
While we’ve endured years of Russia collusion hysteria aimed at conservatives, investigations now suggest that foreign entities including China, Russia, Iran, and Venezuela may be exploiting ActBlue’s lax security to influence American elections. The investigations have uncovered evidence of “dummy” accounts for making donations and identity theft for fraudulent contributions. Some donations were suspiciously small or wildly inconsistent with donor behavior—clear red flags in any legitimate financial operation.
“ActBlue has cooperated with our ongoing investigation. They have changed their requirements to now include ‘CVV’ codes for donations on their platform. This is a critical change that can help prevent fraudulent donations,” said Attorney General Paxton. “But it is most important that we enforce the law and protect the integrity of our elections.”
How convenient that ActBlue only instituted basic fraud prevention after getting caught with their hand in the cookie jar. And isn’t it interesting how we never hear about this kind of foreign interference on CNN or MSNBC? I guess foreign meddling is only a threat to democracy when Republicans are the alleged beneficiaries.
ActBlue’s Fraudulent Culture
The most damning revelations come from a joint interim staff report titled “Fraud on ActBlue: How the Democrats’ Top Fundraising Platform Opens the Door for Illegal Election Contributions.” According to this report, ActBlue actually made its fraud-prevention rules more lenient TWICE in 2024, despite extensive fraud already occurring on the platform. That’s right—when they discovered fraud, they made it EASIER to commit more fraud. It’s like finding termites in your house and responding by installing a wooden foundation.
Internal documents suggest ActBlue executives are not only aware of fraudulent activities but actively discourage scrutiny. Their training guide for fraud-prevention employees reportedly encourages accepting suspicious contributions rather than flagging them. Even more telling, ActBlue’s chief fraud-prevention official was reportedly willing to accept more fraud while focusing on DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). Because apparently making sure your fundraising isn’t criminal takes a backseat to checking progressive ideological boxes.
“We rigorously protect our donors’ security and enforce strict anti-fraud compliance policies,” an ActBlue spokesperson told The Post in a statement on Monday. “We have zero tolerance for fraud on our platform and are confident in our longstanding reputation as a trusted and reliable digital fundraising platform.”
Of course, if your idea of “rigorous protection” is deliberately removing security measures and training staff to look the other way, then I suppose their statement is technically accurate. When you’re raking in $2.2 billion an election cycle, I guess a little fraud here and there is just the cost of doing business—especially when it helps your preferred candidates win elections. Nothing says “election integrity” quite like foreign money laundering and identity theft, right?
