Jennifer Lopez, the actress and singer better known as J.Lo, has split with her husband Ben Affleck – and reports suggest that she has been left feeling “furious and humiliated” by the entire ordeal.
The 55-year-old singer – who still looks incredible by the way (really, go check out her social media!) – has been all over the press in recent weeks after it was revealed that she and her Hollywood husband were separating. For weeks, rumors have circulated that divorce documents have been finalized by not officially filed. Now, a report from Page Six suggests that Affleck has deliberately been holding onto the documents as part of an effort to protect his soon-to-be ex-wife.
Despite the claims, however, the pair are understood to no longer be on speaking terms.
The Page Six report cites an anonymous insider, who spoke under condition of anonymity, who said that J.Lo feels humiliated after publicly describing Affleck as the “love of her life.”
“They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they’re not young kids,” the insider said.
The couple did make their relationship very public – so the divorce is likely particularly difficult for them both. In July 2022, the A-list couple eloped to Las Vegas and got married. They then followed that up with another wedding celebration, this time hosted in Affleck’s Georgia home, the month afterward. And it wasn’t just a series of public wedding celebrations and social media posts, either. They even produced an Amazon Prime documentary titled “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” that was inspired by their love affair.
But with the couple no longer speaking, with their children wrapped up in the drama, and with the media all over the matter – yes, we know we’re a part of that, too – it’s proving difficult for the couple to keep up. So what now?
Well, according to the same sources, the pair haven’t involved any lawyers and they’re letting their business managers handle the whole thing. They haven’t said anything publicly about it, either – so this entire story could fizzle out without much more information leaking to the press at all.
And maybe that’s for the best.
