Far-left extremists are waging a terror campaign against Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk as the FBI warns of escalating violence. The attacks eerily mirror tactics used against Trump properties during his first term but have now shifted to target the billionaire entrepreneur’s business empire.
At a glance:
- FBI has issued a formal warning about far-left extremist attacks targeting Tesla properties across at least nine states
- Incidents include arson, gunfire, and vandalism at Tesla showrooms, vehicle lots, and charging stations
- Attacks have increased following Elon Musk’s growing alliance with President Trump and conservative causes
- Perpetrators strike primarily at night and view their actions as “victimless property crimes”
- The Trump administration has labeled the attackers “terrorists” and promised severe legal consequences
Wave of Left-Wing Violence Sweeps Tesla Properties
The FBI has issued an urgent bulletin warning Americans about a coordinated campaign of violence by far-left extremists targeting Tesla facilities and vehicles nationwide. These attacks have involved arson, gunfire, and vandalism with graffiti.
Incidents have been reported in at least nine states since January, with the violence intensifying as Musk’s relationship with President Trump publicly deepens. The FBI noted that the criminal actions “appear to have been conducted by lone offenders, and all known incidents occurred at night.” Elon Musk has strongly condemned the attacks and suggested that they are in fact coordinated, though law enforcement officials say there is no evidence to support this.
Trump and Musk Push Back Against Political Violence
Mr. Musk called the violence “insane and deeply wrong.” The Tesla CEO defended his company against the extremist targeting, stating, “Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks.” He also confirmed that the company has substantially increased security measures at its facilities.
President Donald Trump took an even harder line against leftist thugs, promising them swift and severe justice. “These people are going to be caught and they’re going to be prosecuted,” Trump stated, adding, “They could get 20 years in jail, and they’ll get it… there’s going to be no leniency, and there’ll be no pardons.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi likewise issued a warning to potential attackers, saying, “If you’re going to touch a Tesla, go to a dealership, do anything, you better watch out because we’re coming after you.”
The White House has officially labeled these coordinated attacks as acts of domestic terrorism.
Businesses and Consumers Caught in Political Crossfire
Tesla’s brand popularity and stock value have declined amid the political backlash, with sales falling for the first time since 2015. The company has become a focal point for anti-Trump protests, similar to how Trump-branded properties were targeted during his first term in office.
Spencer Evans, an FBI official investigating one of the more serious attacks, stated, “Was this terrorism? Was it something else? It certainly has some of the hallmarks that we might think — the writing on the wall, potential political agenda, an act of violence.” The FBI is asking Americans to remain vigilant around Tesla properties and report any suspicious activities, including unusual surveillance, examination of security measures, or violent online threats.
The far-left extremists behind these attacks reportedly view their actions as “victimless property crimes,” despite the obvious danger to workers, customers, and first responders. Randy Blazak, an extremism expert, noted simply, “Tesla is an easy target.”
