Criminal Prosecution Rises by 5000% in Border Town

As the number of illegal immigrants reached historic highs under President Joe Biden’s administration, criminal prosecutions in border areas like Kinney County, Texas, and others have increased dramatically.

Brent Smith, the attorney for Kinney County, told legislators during last week’s House Budget Committee meeting that the county only submitted 134 felony charges for prosecution in 2020, when former President Donald J. Trump was in office.

Following Biden’s series of executive orders that revoked various border security rules, Smith reported a dramatic increase in the number of criminal charges filed for prosecution, from about 3,000 in 2021 to around 6,800 in 2022 and over 5,800 in 2023.

This means that the number of criminal charges filed in Kinney County increased by over 5,000 percent between 2020 and 2022 and by over 4,200 percent between 2020 and 2023.

Smith informed US legislators that Kinney County typically stays under its yearly budget of $6 million. Nevertheless, Texans have had to shell out an extra $10.5 million due to the county’s need to greatly increase the capabilities of their criminal justice system, which was made necessary because of the Biden Administration’s open border policies.

Smith said that Biden’s record-high illegal immigration was having a negative impact on public schools, emergency response systems, and law enforcement.

Smith informed Congress that emergency medical personnel were responding to illegal migrant crossings, causing the deaths of Kinney County citizens who needed care.

According to Smith, the county residents were not attended to by paramedics since they were previously sent to human smuggling incidents located miles away. This exemplifies the horrible results that Americans face as a result of Biden’s open border policy.

There are less than 3,200 people living in Kinney County. Meanwhile, from October 2023 to March of this year, approximately 200,000 illegal migrants crossed into the zone known as the Del Rio Sector, where Kinney County is located.

More than half of the illegal migrants Biden brought in between 2022 and now are jobless, according to a new study from the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS). Kinney, Texas, has seen a drastic spike in criminal convictions due to the inflow of non-working migrants.

The percentage of Americans born outside the US has increased to over 16% due to Biden’s migrant invasion, and what’s worse is that it seems like this number will keep going up.
